My personal view is that our perceived reality is a complex simulation. If that is correct then the optical physics can be programed, so to speak, to conform to the distance out from the center. Imagine that the artificial physics of the area of the firmament above us is lens-shaped and that the angle of observation changes with the distance from the center. Hope this helps.

    Hi Mark,

This may have been asked already by someone else. If that’s the case, please forgive me and feel free to point me to your initial response.

My questions have to do with Antarctica.

    1. What prevents any one of us from mounting an exploratory expedition with plans to thoroughly map the area, provided we have the funding?

    2. There are well-known modern expeditions, such as the joint Israeli-Palestinian expedition in 2004.

Why don’t these expeditions report anything unusual … such as the things mentioned by Admiral Byrd, or any sort of boundary barrier?

    3. There are many reports that Nazi Germany went to Antarctica and established a base called base 211 somewhere in “New Swabia” in the north east corner of the continent. ( http://wikivisually.com/wiki/New_Swabia )

To your knowledge, has any private expedition gone to map this area since Admiral Byrd’s expeditions were sent to Antarctica? And again, if this has NOT been done … what prevents any one of us from choosing to rectify the situation?
